Sportsman of the Year

I was going thru some old files and found this shot. It's rare. We were at a friend of the familys pond. Most events that involve me and fish, also involve a 75 gallon aquarium. It's not a "fish tank". It's an aquarium and it will soon be converted to a salt water paradise that spongebob himself would be proud to call home. More on that later.

Update on last weekend - 1 of 2 complete. The event wasn't pretty, emotionally I mean, but we no longer had a choice. At some point we will have another go at man's best friend, but for now, we are down to 5 + fish.

It's more difficult to find a bag of dirt than you would think. I've been to Lowes, The City Co-op, and a recommended construction company. They have referred me to a 4th place, but I'm not in the mood any more. At least not this week.

Weekend Plans

Everybody here is taking antibiotics for strep throat. For the most part, everyone feels good, it's just a matter of taking the meds. So that is what we will do for the next 8 days.

I have 2 action items for the weekend.

1) Surrender the beast back to the animal shelter.
1.5) Convince the rest of the family that everything will be okay if we don't adopt a replacement THIS weekend.

2) Fill a 4' diameter hole in the backyard that the kids dug up last year. The issue here is what kind of filler to use. The obvious choice is dirt, which is why I'm going to Lowe's in the morning. Hopefully I get it done before it starts raining.

One last thing - I'd like to say to the obnoxious boob that posted the recent comment on my 9-11 tribute video in youtube, "I MADE THIS BANNER FOR YOU"

Tonights Games

Tonights game selections were Tiger Woods Golf and Godzilla. The boy and I enjoy playing Xbox about once a week at night. Both of these games are unique. The golf is a lot of fun because there are several game types to choose from. One of which you drive golf balls from skyscrapers. For the Godzilla game, the action above speaks for itself.

GUS'S World Famous Fried Chicken

Today was the second time I've been to Gus's. The first time I went to the location in Mason, TN.
Mason location Food - Fantastic Service - Terrible Atmosphere - Terrible (there was so much smoke that ... well let's just say the place burnt to the ground a couple of years ago, they rebuilt it and today the entire perimeter was blocked off. 30 miles later I'm at the new one on G-town Rd North of WChase. G-town location Food - Fantastic Service - Good Atmosphere - Good Notes: They told us that the Mason location had another fire and that's why it was shut down. SUMMARY: Gus's has the best fried chicken I've ever eat. Their "secret recipe" actually qualifies as something unique, unlike KFC in my opinion. Go to the one on G-town Pkwy.

FIRST POST

This past week was the first week on my new job. I received the typical tools, (Dell laptop, bus. cards, and Cingular phone) It was a good week and I'm glad to be back.

Man's best friend bit LA last night, its pretty bad. She had to go get stitches. A golden retriever is know to be one of the most friendly dogs on the planet. Not so, at least at our house. It's gotten bad enough that we are going to take her back to the animal shelter after 6 years. We will probably get another dog, but it's too early to know.

All 4 of us have strep throat, again. The medical situation with kids is insane. It's spreads like poison ivy. We had to cancel a full weekends worth of party plans for Nicks 10th Bday. We rescheduled for next week.

I choose my screen name from a combination of characters in one of my favorite movies. "The Man with the Golden Gun" It's classic Roger Moore, made in 1973. (strange that I was born that year and still like a film that old). By the way, thats Dooku next to him.
